Don't you just love headlines with question marks at the end? "Paris Hilton Has Syphilis?" "Britney Spears Adopts Lemur?" You get all excited and flip to the middle of the magazine, is it true, is it true? - only to find: guess what? We don't fucking know either! I went to journalism school!
Anyway, today in questionable headlines, The Rock to Play Captain Marvel? That's the rumor. Someone heard about it and printed it, and then someone else put it on the Internet, and then I rewrote it in smartassican and put it on the Internet again.
It's a wonderful time to be alive.
According to one source, Mr. Rock (who recently got done working with Peter Segal on "Get Smart") has discussed the idea of playing Captain Marvel: "Listen, John August is writing the script and he's a tremendous writer, and I'll just wait for the script to come in. But I'd love to work with Pete again, and certainly would want to work with John August. So there's a strong possibility."The DC comic is about a kid who morphs into a mega-powerful super-hero after uttering a magic word.

I will not pay to see this movie.
I will however, sneak in just to delightfully indulge in my secret fantasy.
That is of course, to hear The Rock utter the word "Shazam!".

It was confirmed by a wrestling news site the other day that the Rock is in talks to be IN the Captain Marvel movie, but not as Captain Marvel. He's actually talking about playing Black Adam, Captain Marvel's nemesis.

You say DC Comics, but I'm pretty sure Captain Marvel is from Marvel Comics. He's the big reason why DC and Marvel started their Comic wars, because Captain Marvel was so much like Superman they actually forced Marvel to drop the character eventually.

Actually, both Marvel and DC have a Captain Marvel. This Captain Marvel was owned by a smaller comic company that DC was suing because Captain Marvel seemed to be to much like Superman. That company went under after awhile...Marvel made their Captain Marvel. DC later bought the small companies properieties and revived this Captain Marvel, however because Marvel was publishing a title under that name, DC has to publish under the title Shazam! Anyway, they should use the kid from Heroes as Billy B.
