The cleft in my chin says Justice.

As bloggers, we're legally required to report on it when anything Batman-related so much as queefs in our general direction.

On that note, here's the newest pic of Aaron Eckhart as DA Harvey Dent.

And how's this for a conspiracy theory - Eckhart starred opposite Katie Holmes in Thank You for Smoking, in which the two shared a love scene that was inexplicably cut from the movie at a festival showing, some say at the behest of Tom Cruise - and now that Eckhart's in the Batman sequel, Holmes is replaced with Maggie Gyllenhaal? I know you're behind this, Cruise!

Phew, sorry about that, I think I just channelled Harvey Levine for a second there. And now I'm all greasy.

i'd vote for him, moral ambiguity regardless!

Now, in the original batman movie, Harvey Dent was a black man played by Billy Dee Williams I believe. But then for the third they made him white and gave the part to Tommy Lee Jones. I'm just wondering, was Harvey Dent supposed to be white or black in the comic books? Also, why isnt he being played by someone who's first and middle names rhyme with Billy and Lee?

In the comic books, I have always seen Harvey drawn as a typical white guy in his late 30's-early 40's.

In Batman: The Animated Series (you know, the one that rocked all ass), he was drawn as a black man. Of course, seeing as how Batman: TAS was based in some parts off of the first Batman flick, one could wonder just how he jumped race like Michael Jackson.

So, for the uninitiated.

Comics = White

Movie/Cartoon =Black (and cobalt blue blue)

He was also black in various different comics, post-Frank Miller. The No Man's Land run, for instance. It just depends on who's writing him.

So, for the uninitiated:

Joel Schumacher: Hates Black People.
Chris Nolan: Hates Katie Holmes.

Anything to get Katie Holmes out of the sequel.

I don't see why people hate Katie Holmes. There's always worse.

Besides exchanging actors effs with the movie continuity, IMO. I hate it when characters are changed out. But whatever. I'll still see it.

Speaking for myself, I don't hate Katie Holmes as an actress, but I don't find her believable as a career woman. She's got a few years before she can convincingly play anyone who's not in high school or college. She looks more like she'd break down in tears sooner than she'd be a tough cross examiner.

Harvey Dent was most definitely not black in Batman: The Animated Series; I have no idea where you got that from.

I'd call that an italian looking man.
As far as I know, Dent was always a white character in the comics before the Billy Dee Williams appearance. In fact I remember being outraged when they changed him to black. Slight alterations to a character are fine, but changing their race? Bit far for me.
