"Lucky Number Slevin" writer Jason Smilovic and producers Tyler Mitchell and Robert Kravis have formed Dark & Stormy Entertainment, a production company that will hatch film and TV projects.
One of their first projects will be the film version of Hunter S. Thompson's The Rum Diary with Johnny Depp and writer/director Bruce Robinson.
I'm almost scared to see this made into a movie. I fell asleep five minutes into Lucky Number Slevin (dumbest title ever, btw), and the only thing I've heard of that Bruce Robinson has done is The Killing Fields, which came out when I was three.
Is it too late to get Terry Gilliam?

Bruce Robinson has directed at least 2 of the best films (IMO) in the past 20 years: "Withnail & I", and "How To Get Ahead In Advertising." They are both considered classics both in their native England and the good ol' USA.

Withnail & I is one of the greatest comedies of all time.
He's a fricking genius. And a large drinker.
Hunter would've approved.

Yeah man- "Withnail & I" is a classic. Thats pretty bad if you don't even KNOW about it let alone you haven't seen it and you write for a film site.

Sounds good. Although not the whole falling asleep 5 minutes into sleven. It was a good movie I thought, worthy of an average movie rating of a C or C+. Although I don't see how in 5 minutes you fell asleep. I cant do that if I try ^_-. Only movies I have ever fallen asleep watching are Wag the Dog, Animatrix, Napoleon Dynamite.
