Mar 2 2007Paprika Trailer

While American animation continues to stagnate in the world of Shrek sequels, the Japanese are reinventing my nightmares with strange, surreal imagery and terrifying mutations, as seen in this trailer for Paprika. I don't know how to explain what it looks like except by saying that this might be your new "playing Pink Floyd and staring at a black light poster."

W.....T.....F....this looks ridiculus. With so much different crap going on, its good they made the point of the story come across so well! .....reinvention my arse. After seeing one epidsode of Dragonball Z, I can pretty much guess what any Anime will include. Lots and lots of nonsense.

I'm pretty sure that I just saw J. Jonah Jameson in that trailer........

ooh i duno, it's a close call - mike myers and his original, fresh and funny fat bast..um, shrek voice, or the anime equivalent of taking acid...

hold up - a talking donkey?! what the?!?!?! hahahahahahahaahahooooh mercy. winner by a knockout!

Eh, it looks a little mild for my taste, I'm hold ing out for "Cayenne Pepper"

I think it looks awesome, I'm fond of this director's work. He tends towards fantastic imagery yes, but within the framework of our reality. "Perfect Blue" is my favourite by him. While it has some fluffy, girly pop music from time to time the film is still a great thriller.

Perfect Blue was awesome, but this looks more like Rojin Z (read: shitty).
