Johnny Depp is doing a period piece?! Has the world gone mad?

I am a HUGE fan of Stephen Sondheim and this looks great.. #1- If you've seen the musical though, you know this isn't the usual period piece. I don't think there was a scene in "Finding Neverland" where J.M. Barrie slits the throats of the Davies boys, then cooks their bodies into meat pies. (I attempted to make this a semi-serious post, because what with so many funny men and women on this board already, there's just no way I could compete.)

I'm all for Tim Burton, I really do love most of his movies, I just hope he doesn't screw this up like he did with Willy Wonka. If there are any shoddy excuses for Oompa Loompas in this.... there will be empty threats galore..

I can't wait for this film, and I love that Burton in haveing the actors sing their own songs. I can't wait to hear Johnny and Alan's version of Pretty Women. Very exciteing!!!

I wanna go see Sweeney Todd but Mum's being such a stubborn old lady so I can't go unless I take at least three friends 'cos she still thinks I'm about twelve! Wah, oh well. I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Johnny Depp, I really can't explain him. His movies are always so sexy. In this movie, I was addicted to just staring at him. He's just amazing. I really wish to meet him one day. He;s gorgeous.
