Penelope looks like someone forced Tim Burton to make a film in the style of "The (Something Girly) Diaries," and I mean that in the worst way possible. The classic ugly duckling story has never been made with such a large forehead.

THANK YOU! I was starting to wonder why no one else would admit that Christina Ricci has a forehead like a drive-in theatre screen.
Also, the phrase "academy award winner reese witherspoon" is something akin to "noble peace prize winner idi amin" to my ears.

The Weinstein Co. held a test screening in NYC at Kips Bay on Feb. 15th. Even though you know what the ending will probably be, and even though I'm probably not the demographic to which it'll be targeted, I thought it was really good. Christina Ricci is beautiful even with a pig nose, and I really liked the music at the end when the dwarf reporter rows on in his boat.

I still don't get why they won't show us the pig nose in the trailer. I saw pics of Ricci with the fake nose on in more than one magazine.
Still, I've liked Ricci since Adams Family, and loved her since Opposit of Sex and Buffalo 66
