Feb 15 2007Elliott Smith Casting Rumor
Not surprisingly, word on the "net" is that suicidal indie rocker Elliott Smith's biopic is on the way, but the big news is that Scrubs (Zach Braff) might be playing him. It has yet to turn up as anything but rumor so far, but many Smith fans are already crying at the casting decision. Also, they're crying with the music. And most are crying at, in their own words, "how painfully tragic yet beautiful the world is."
My casting choice for Elliott Smith: a caveman in Converse.

this is awful, all the 5 people who go see this movie are really going to be dissapointed with the casting

I looked this guy up, and I still don't know who he is.
But you're right, Zach Braff isn't ugly enough to play the role.

C'mon it will be a fond farewell to a friend. Elliott was a shooting star that we continue to listen to. I have even heard him on the radio lately. It's a homage to his spirit.

I get it. Braff is the new 'It Depressive', but seriously, Elliott Smith was really trouble due to meth and herion addiction, now post-college crisis.
It would be a shit thing to do, even though I like Braff a lot.
