"Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" Nerdiness

harry-potter-weasley.jpg

Though they missed the opportunity for a clever double entrendre by using "reel" in their title, Real Movie News has managed to get some exclusive pictures from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Harry and Arthur Weasley. From the looks of these, the first order of the Phoenix was apparently ordering Daniel Radcliffe to look like a huge fucking nerd. Looking like this may fly at Hogwarts, but if he would have come to my school in this getup he would have quickly learned that no spell will counteract the humiliation of a daily wedgie. And trust me, having your mom call doesn't help either. It only encourages them.

I guess the view from your high horse keeps you from reading the books. If you could, you would know this is from the scene where Harry is in London, on his way to the Ministry of Magic. He has to dress like a "muggle" and can't dress in his school robes. The books frequently talk about how bad his normal clothes are because they are all second hand.

Actually, it's the scene where Harry is trying out for the Michael J. Fox role in "Secret of My Success," adapted for the London stage. Unfortunately, the audition is a scam, and he winds up on the "casting couch" per se, being buggered in every orifice by Slytherins and Ravenclaws.
It's in the book. Go ahead and check.
