Jul 13 2006Raven-Symone Having Adventures in Babysitting
Adventures in Babysitting, the 1987 classic starring Elisabeth Shue as a high school babysitter forced to take the kids she's watching downtown, where they encounter a wild cast of characters on their adventures throughout the night, is next in line for a big remake. Disney announced plans to remake the picture with hyphenated That's So Raven star Raven-Symone in the babysitting shoes. My biggest problem with the casting: there's no way Raven's gonna be able to scale that wall.
Yet again, Hollywood has to ruin the films of my youth. I can still recall how after I saw the movie as a kid, whenever I had a babysitter over, I'd remember it and think, "I wish my babysitter was Elisabeth Shue. And that she'd let me at least finger bang her."

its only a matter of time before we get a Howard the Duck remake...and around that time the four horsemen will make their appearance and kill 99% of the earths population, that will leave the 1% arguing over who was better on cheers...kristie alley or shelly long.

I'm still waiting for MAC and ME 2. The aliens said they'd be back at the end of the movie. Second thought I'll make it myself. MAC and ME II: Electric Boogaloo - A scottyDOO joint -- Brilliant

Screw it, I'm sure there's a Last Starfighter remake in the works. Has any of these remakes done well? Why do they keep making them.

Can someone remind me why Raven-Symone is famous?
Yes she was the cute girl on The Cosby Show, oh look she ballooned into a giant walrus.

Has any of these remakes done well? Why do they keep making them.
---------------------------------
Because of financial reasons. These remakes, as bad as they are, have or were successful at one point in the past. They will generate more revenue than a original story with zero following. Its all about money. its so expensive to film a movie due to taxes/insurance/cost of actors/crew/etc..
All we can do is stop seeing these wretched movies and stop feeding the beast...DONT FEED THE BEAST!!!!!!!

actually lets just stop feeding raven-symone. she'll either get skinny to the point that she's fuckable or she'll die. and leave a fuckable corpse. everyone wins

i only hope they keep the creepy pedophilic overtones that made the original a bestselling, boxoffice sensation.

When they redo Red Dawn, come wake me up.

Dingleberry, Don't feed the beast? How about not feeding Raven Simone? Her movie should be called "Honey, I ate the kids."
edb88: OK, "Red Dawn" would be a good one, but please, oh please, never remake "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" or "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." Those two movies are perfect as is.
