Owen Wilson & Wes Anderson Together Again
Since Owen Wilson's acting career has taken off and his writing collaborator Wes Anderson made The Life Aquatic with a different co-writer, there's been some question when the two would again work together. Speaking to CNN, Wilson answered the question:
I am going to do a movie with my friend Wes [Anderson] in India, and that's not going to be a buddy comedy movie. [I play] one of three brothers, and they go on this journey in India. I haven't really spoken to Wes yet in regards to what I can really talk about.
An Owen Wilson/Wes Anderson movie about brothers traveling to India sounds pretty great if they can bring in the adventure elements that made The Life Aquatic so exciting. And even better if the three brothers are Wayans (cut Shawn--he's dead weight). Watch out, Bill Murray, that Marlon's a scene stealer.

"The Royal Tennenbaums" was 50 times the movie that "The Life Aquatic with..." turned out to be.

the plot summary: three pretentious brothers encounter odd, pretentious happenings and face adversity of the pretentious sort. in india.
it'll do well with the "arthouse" crowd.

uni'tard...damn you, you beat me to the punch.
I was going to say "I can smell the pretention already" but I did, so there
Even more than his movies I hate the college kids who know nothing about film making, film criticism or film history yet still feel their opinions are valid when they say Wes Anderson movies are brilliant. My roommate last year only owned 10 DVD's and 3 of them were Wes Anderson lol

So what are your "Valid" opinions on his movies then? While Bottlerocket, Rushmore, or Life Aquatic didn't strike any particular chord with me, I enjoy Tenenbaums quite a bit. Are you sure that your distaste of Wes Anderson might just be a distaste for who you perceive as his typical audience?
