Jun 20 2006Entertainment Weekly Lists Most Controversial Movies EVER

Since you're bored enough to be reading this, I'll assume you also have time to waste examining unnecessary lists, so take a look at Entertainment Weekly's picks for the most controversial movies ever made. Besides maybe #25, Aladdin, I don't know how many surprises there are on the list, but luckily it's filled with EW's sloppy, over-casual prose to keep you interested. Or if you're too lazy to bother clicking through their bullshit, I'll just tell you the winner. It's The Passion of the Christ. Second place went to A Clockwork Orange, while at a disappointing third, we have Jesus and the Baby Rapers.

Last Tango in Paris was so terrible, as was Natural Born Killers.

Um, what about Salo, or The 120 Days of Sodom.
Something about the rape, torture, murder, and force-feeding of feces upon multiple young boys seems a little more controversial than Michael Moore's fat jiggling around beneath a cardigan sweater.

well Aladdin was controversial because of the line "where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face. It's barbaric, but hey, it's home!" But still, nobody remembers that except for weirdos like me. In order to be one of the top 25 most controversial movies of all time, shouldn't somebody actually remember that it was controversial?
That was a rhetorical question. You don't have to answer.

PPffT, with all the religious asshats out there its possible Aladdin was controversial just for showing a belly button on the princess :p
Oh, not to mention that whole rumor/commotion about the palace being a phallus ;)
