Silent Hill Poster Contest Winner

The Silent Hill poster contest has ended, the votes have been tallied, and the we've got the winner. It's not bad compared to the other options, but when you've got the likes of a freak with a pyramid head and a flesh apron, hauling around a bloody child, there's no reason to show anything else on a poster. You've got your poster boy right there. Just showing the sign is like advertising Showgirls with a map of Las Vegas: accurate, yet ignoring the most interesting elements.

If the movie's half as much fun as Resident Evil 1 was (note, I didn't say Good, and Resident Evil Apocolypse was only half way amusing if you live in Toronto, and don't like city hall much.), then I'll be happy. That said, if it's actually a scary movie, I'll be down right overjoyed.

I have really high hopes for it. Christopher Gans is an excellent director, and a fan of the game. Plus, the trailer rocked.

What has Christopher Gans done beyond Le Pacte des loupes (Also known as Pre-Revolutionary French Kung Fu)? If he brought his costume and set designer along with him, I have high hopes, but we won't see our previously witnessed pyramid head getting scissor kicked by a little native American girl, will be?

He also did Necronomicon and Crying Freeman. I liked Brotherhood of the Wolf, but this movie looks too scary.

I haven`t seen any preview regarding this movie but the poster speaks for itself. I can tell that it`s scary and suspenseful which always seems to draw some kind of an audience. Any poster that describes the correct theme of the movie gets a thumbs up from me.
