Feb 17 2006No Sequels for Burton

tburton.jpgContrary to an earlier report from a dining Michael Keaton that a Beetlejuice sequel may be in the works, Tim Burton has now said in an interview that he doesn't have plans on creating any sequels to his works, and hopes to resist any urge to do so. I, for one, am grateful. In a way, it's like knocking over old ladies. You knock one over and it's great, I mean just absolutely unbelievable, so you think maybe you should also push her old friend over. Then you realize that trying to recreate that magic never works, and it would only cheapen how fantastic the first was. But usually by that point you've already knocked her over, too.

Thank you zombie Jesus... Amen.

He should made a franchise out of 18thC X-File investigator Ichabod Crane and more Christina Ricci (Drool, Drool, Drool, oh look, on the floor, a pool of drool, Drool, Drool, Drool!)

god, this is your day for teh funny Mr. Iwatchstuff. Every comment has been hilarious, this site will catch on soon :)

this is very disapointingm this is probably the only Burton film that I would like to see a sequel to

I wonder if when a bed gets up from a nap and is all disheveled its friends say, "were you sleeping? you have Burton-head".

The only sequel this man needs is a shower and a haircut. Someone should tell him that's it's okay to repeat these things.
