Feb 15 2006New Silent Hill Stills

silenthillbig.jpg

New stills from Silent Hill have emerged online, including this horrifying image of a woman with some kind of metal pyramid head, wearing a dress made of a patchwork of flesh, hauling off with a bloody child. It's funny how something you didn't know existed one minute can the next minute be the very reason you're buying a gun.

UPDATE: I'm told this character is actually a male named Pyramid Head, who rapes other monsters in the video game. The horrifying part is still accurate, though.

I tried playing the game. I couldn't do it as it freaked my shit out way too much.

You don't know who pyramid head is???

He's definately not female.

I don't know WHAT that is but it sure looks scary. I hope it's a movie cuz I'm looking for a nice fright fest.

Pyramid Head tends to rape other monsters ingame. He's not a nice dude.

Okay, so he's not the cuddliest videogame mascot...

LOVE Silent Hill. This is gunna be awesome.

This pic gives me hope. It looks like they'll keep with the extremly disgutsing images see nin the video game.

Oh, my.

I think I'm in love. o _o

You know, there just isn't enough mangled child corpse in movies these days. Look at the remake of When A Stranger Calls... They cut out the murder of the children which was the best (and only good) part of the original!

I'm proud of the Silent Hill people. Hooray for child killing...

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOME PEOPLE DONT KNOW WHO PYRAMID HEAD IS!! you should really check out the game. it will blow you away! ooo... it's so good, one night i actually thought i was having a heart attack! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!!

I have high hopes for the movie. The director is Christopher Gans, whose "Brotherhood of the Wolf" was pretty good. I've read a recent interview where he claims to be a fan of the series and has been wanting to make a Silent Hill movie since playing the first game. Most of the music in the movie has been lifted from the games (some samples of which can be heard in the trailer, including the awesome opening theme from the first game).

The interview states that they elected to go with the story from the first game in order to set up the mythology of the series for people who haven't played the game. This implies future sequels, if the original does well.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait. Brotherhood of the wolf as in Le Pacte des loups, as in Native Americans and Knight Templar Gypsies who mysteriously know Kung Fu?
As much fun as that movie is (and I also heard somewhere it was one of the highest grossing French films ever) and as well done as the sets are... I dunno. I wouldn't put him in charge of, say, horror, unless I wanted something I'd be dying laughing from.

Just a thought.

Yep, it's a male, and that's not a child he's holding, but a grown man. Pyramid Head is a giant comparing to regular people.
