Feb 28 2006Green Goblin in Spider-Man 3 Image?

Over at Cineactual, someone's played with the newly released image of Spider-Man, coloring in some parts of the eye-piece to reveal something sort of like the mask of Green Goblin. Of course if this reflection is accurate, it would mean the villain was located in Spider-Man's crotch.
It seems to me that this might be reading too much into the image. You can see a lot of things if you look hard enough at any vague shapes, especially if you color them, but it doesn't mean anyone believes they're real. Unless you're on LSD, in which case you will insist they're real, even after all your friends tell you that it doesn't make sense that the Devil would fly down from a cloud, disguised as a gentleman kitten, trying to whip you with a rainbow.

I don't know about Spider-Man, but Green Goblin's always got a place in MY crotch.

Take a look at the lower left-hand corner and uppper-right hand corners of the mangified area, rotate it a bit and try to imagine it superimposed on the original eyepiece. The magnified area completely doesn't match the eyepiece of the original poster - where are those white bits coming from? Unless they added them in for some strange reason. Also, note how the magnified area is completely blurry but the image in the eyepiece is pretty clear. If you magnify something like that, even if you're doing some image corrections on it, the result will be pretty blurry.
Photoshop strikes again.

Lauren's wrong. The image that is posted here (not the magnified one) is not the full-size scan of the poster, which is large enough that magnification would not make it very blurry. Also, the "white bits" in the lower left corner are from the arm of Spidey's suit, and the upper right is also consistent. The only edits made to this picture are in the eye.
Nonetheless...
The coloring on the upper right of the goblin's mask makes it look the same shade as the rest of the mask, but the unedited image shows that part being lighter. On the whole, the only part in the original picture that looks anything like the Green Goblin is the "smile;" the rest looks like it could be part of a building.
The smile is there, though, or that's one hell of a coincidence.

oh please...this guy should be slapped for photoshopping this. This is looking WAY TO FAR into this pic. My god. I can almost see the actual people who made the poster now
"These douche bags are retarded...there's nothing there!"
Thats what they'd say

I'm not sure whether there's something in the eye or not, but upon first glance after hearing rumors I thought if there WAS an image it looked more like a snarling Venom than anything - which would make sense if we're suspecting that the new black suit has anything to do with the symbiote, etc etc.

Oh, and in reference to that close up shot... that ALSO looks more like Venom than the green goblin - from a side shot...looks like an open mouth and one of his eyes.
...Maybe I just really wanna see Venom.
lol.

Maybe his guilt over killing his bff's dad is causing a sexual dysfunction.

*cough* nerds *cough*
I mean, I'm pretty nerdy what with the fat and the acne and the still being a virgin... I may live in my mom's basement, but whoever thinks this is real is still a bigger loser than I am.
